"Fanfare for Colchester" was written in celebration of the opening of 'firstsite' Centre for the Visual Arts, Colchester, UK, in 2011. It brings together my dual passions for music and for art.
The brass quintet has distant echoes of military brass instruments, heard in Colchester from ancient Roman times.
