My creative life has included composing, teaching, bringing up a family, writing, and recently, resurrecting my painting skills after a forty year gap! Some of these activities have taken place side-by-side despite each demanding full commitment. I've always been interested in new ideas, though not necessarily particular realizations of them in sound, or in paint. In my music, I've tried to communicate an emotional "buzz", which for me, comes from harmony and texture. A visual aspect is incorporated into several of my pieces, adding an extra dimension to the artistic experience. It's not easy to sum up sixty years of creativity in a few sentences! Nor is it possible for me to explain in words how the music sounds. The best way to find out is to listen. A few acclamations from music critics might suffice:
"it undoubtedly stays in the memory"
"such intelligent individual music"
"a distinctive voice and personality"
"demanding but very rewarding music"
